MapYourVoice is a platform designed to help over 1 billion sexual trauma survivors globally by giving them a safe place to anonymously report their sexual assault(s); find a community of survivors and supporters; and get access to a comprehensive, pre-vetted network of support organizations. Also, as only 13% of sexual assaults around the world are currently reported, MapYourVoice aims to provide the big data necessary to combat the global epidemic of sexual violence via aggregating assault data to serve public health, law enforcement, policy makers, academia, survivor advocates, and more — all in efforts to end sexual violence.
I developed the brand and designed the UX/UI for the platform — a platform that is intimate enough that sexual violence survivors would feel safe using it, yet robust enough to scale globally. The result was an outpouring of angel donations, endorsements, and grants from key organizations and partners. The platform is currently in beta development.
