Founded over 30+ years ago and with over 500 teachers and tens of thousands of members worldwide spanning across 41 countries, 5Rhythms is a global phenomenon. A moving meditation — think Yoga meets Burning Man meets Zumba — that empowers people to connect with their deeper spirituality while expressing their funkelicious selves, 5Rhythms is a movement in itself.
While one of the community’s primary strengths is the diversity and creativity of its community, Gabrielle Roth (5Rhythms’ late founder and leader) wanted to create a concise, cohesive identity and message and platform for which the movement could continue to grow globally. I helped codify Gabrielle’s vision and evolve the 5Rhythms brand, strategy, and digital presence. This included designing brand assets across 12 languages, developing brand architecture and guidelines, and designing and developing a web platforms for teachers and members. The result was an increase in website traffic and engagement, and brand and digital platforms that could evolve and scale with the expanding 5Rhythms community.
